He has been involved in a number of civic activities for many years including service as President and Director of Midway Chamber of Commerce, President and Delegate to University UNITED, Director of Saint Paul Chamber of Commerce, Co-Chair and Delegate of the St. Anthony Park Community Council, Chair of its Physical Planning Committee and member of its Land Use Committee, member of light-rail task forces of the Ramsey County Regional Railroad Authority and Saint Paul Planning Commission, President and Board Member, Connexions International, Director of the Minnesota Chapter of the Christian Legal Society, and Secretary and Director of the Ramsey County Historical Society.
